Number of modules
The 1st module introduces us to the concept of databases and the popular language SQL.
Using SQL, we will learn how to extract, insert and update data in database tables. Students will also learn to combine data into several tables, sort and group them by topic.
At the end of the introductory module, the student will learn how to store data and manipulate it using SQL at will.
We will delve into the world of SQL, study its advanced features and apply this knowledge to build data integration processes, as well as to create our data warehouse application. To create an app, we also consider SQL functions, procedures, and various analytic functions as analytic tools.
After completing the module, each student will be able to create and maintain “alive”, “breathing” and comprehensive application for storing data.
Using the infrastructure created in the previous module, we will learn how to extract and visualize data using the reporting tools PowerBI, Tableau, etc.
More advanced analytical methods will also be studied:
Data modeling
· Advanced functions of reporting tools.
Combining gained knowledge during 3 modules, each student will create and present the final project based on the business customer requirements (announced in advance).
The final project will reflect both technical and personal skills that a student has acquired on the course.
During the preparation for the final defense, teachers and mentors will work with students to help not only present the project correctly but also will give hints and instructions on how to make a presentation of the results in plain language.
